Robert Joseph Susi, Jr., age 32 of Massey, Maryland, was sentenced to serve three years in prison at a sentencing hearing in the Queen Anne’s County Circuit Court on August 31, 2016.

Susi had been formally charged with multiple counts of theft schemes for stealing electrical wire from his employer Garrett German and Sons Electric of Centreville, Maryland. Susi had stolen almost ten thousand pounds of residential electrical wire from his employer and scrapped the stolen wire at the Dover Scrap Yard in Hartley, Delaware from June, 2014 through October, 2015.

Susi was convicted by a Circuit Court Judge of multiple counts of felony theft following a two day trial that was held on August 15 and 16, 2016.  Susi was subsequently sentenced to ten years in prison, but the court suspended all but three years of the sentence.  Following his release from the Division of Corrections he will be placed on 5 years of supervised probation.

Deputy State’s Attorney, Michael Cuches, prosecuted this matter.
