On August 31, 2017, in the District Court for Queen Anne’s County, Ilona Papp (photographed left), aged 31, last known address listed in Miami, Florida pled guilty to prostitution.  The case was prosecuted by Lance Richardson, State’s Attorney for Queen Anne’s County.

The facts of the case stem from the execution of a search and seizure warrant by the Queen Anne’s County Drug Task Force at 113 Anna Carol Drive in Stevensville, Maryland.  This is the address of John Oday.  While conducting surveillance on the Oday residence and before the execution of the search warrant, undercover officers in the area observed a blonde female being dropped off at Oday’s home.  Police subsequently made entry into the house and the female (Papp) was discovered naked and hiding in a closet with John Oday in close proximity.  The female was identified by law enforcement as Ilona Papp, a Hungarian citizen, who was in possession of a passport, a work visa, a large sum of cash, in excess of $7,000, and 80 unused condoms.  Neither Papp, nor Oday, could explain to police how they were acquainted with one another.  Police also located a used condom next to the closet where Papp was hiding.  A search of Papp’s cellphone revealed that she was posting her escort services on several websites along with her picture.  Evidence located at the scene revealed that Oday paid $750.00 for two hours of Papp’s services.  Papp was held in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center for three days from August 29th until her guilty plea on August 31st.  Her case was expedited so that she could plead guilty, be released from jail and then deported to Hungary.  She will likely be barred from returning to the United States following this conviction.

Police also discovered trace amounts of cocaine, 94 Methidiolone (steroid) pills, and 46 grams of liquid testosterone in Oday’s residence.  John Oday (photographed right) was arrested and has been charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and prostitution.  He was released by a District Court Commissioner pending a trial date of October 13, 2017 in the District Court.
